  1. What a nice tribute. I was a big fan of Allen and his blog, and so admire his devotion to fitness and changing his life. What sad day. The Austin food bloggers are really feeling this loss. I hope you don't mind if I post this link to Allen's Facebook page so his family and friends can read it. I think it would mean a lot to them.

    1. No, I don't mind at all. I know it has been helpful to me in the past to hear things about lost loved ones. It's a small reassurance to know they had an impact on people's lives.

  2. This was an absolutely touching post. Thank you. I to had not met Allen, however I followed his blog and his daily smoothies. I also loved how involved he was on our AFBA fb page. Thank you for speaking from the heart.

  3. Yes, touching post. Allen was a good friend of mine and I was thinking along similar lines as you with the smoothies since he loved them so much. Tomorrow is his funeral, and in his honor I've been asking people online to make a smoothie, take a picture of it, list what's in it and tag it #smoothieforallen @allenstern. We can spread healthiness and celebrate Allen's life. Can you help spread the word? Thank you!
